HOW WE WILL HANDLE YOUR WEDDING

Wedding Photographer in Málaga
I want to outline the most important steps of how I approach a wedding from start to finish — beginning with the first meeting with the couple, continuing with the contract signing, through the entire development and photo selection process, and ending with the final delivery.

1. The Beginning

Wedding photography is often booked well in advance due to the limited number of available dates during the season. That’s why it’s important to confirm your booking as soon as possible to avoid future regrets — it can be difficult to find another photographer whose style truly matches what you're looking for.

I highly recommend taking the time to carefully explore my website and social media, where you’ll find detailed examples of my work.

If you're interested after that, we can schedule a meeting — either in person or online — to talk in depth and show you some of the physical products I offer, including recent wedding albums. I always encourage couples to review full weddings, not just a few selected photos. With thousands of images taken at every event, it's not hard to build a portfolio with a few beautiful shots — but what truly matters is consistency.

That’s why I go far beyond the highlights. I hold myself to a high standard from start to finish, ensuring every wedding I shoot tells a complete story with a consistent, authentic style.

2. Booking & Contract Signing

Have you made your decision? Great — it’s time to sign a written contract that outlines the full wedding coverage, from the ceremony to the reception, as well as any extras you’ve chosen.

To secure your date, a 30% deposit is required. This amount serves as a reservation fee and ensures the entire day is exclusively booked for you. The remaining 70% is paid a few days after the wedding.

If you live outside of Málaga, there’s no problem — the contract can be signed and returned via regular mail or email, along with a transfer for the deposit. Distance is no longer a barrier.

The contract includes detailed clauses that explain the terms, working process, and how the day will be documented. Please note:
👉 A date is never considered booked until the deposit is paid and the contract is signed.

3. Let’s Begin with the Pre-Wedding Session

The outcome of your wedding photos can be completely different if we skip the pre-wedding session. This session takes place weeks or months before the big day and is designed to break the ice between us, build trust, and create a relaxed, comfortable environment. It also gives you a chance to better understand how I work behind the camera.

During this session, we won’t just take photos — we’ll also discuss many details about the wedding day, any surprises you may be planning, and finalize key timings for important moments.

I give a lot of importance to the pre-wedding shoot. In fact, I consider it almost essential — it helps us truly connect and ensures that everything flows naturally on the wedding day. Plus, it leaves you with a beautiful memory: your last photo session as an engaged couple.

Want to include your kids, nephews, or even your pets? You’re more than welcome.
Countryside, city, beach — or even another country? The location is entirely up to you. If we need to catch a flight, so be it!

4. Getting Ready – The Bride & Groom Preparations

The big day has arrived. Emotions and nerves are running high — and this part of the story simply can’t go undocumented. What would a wedding be without those intimate, powerful moments during the morning preparations at home?

The bride’s makeup, parents helping their children get dressed, the emotional glances between friends and family who witness it all… These are irreplaceable memories. They are part of the story — and they, too, become protagonists.

At home, every little detail counts:
A pet sensing something special and wanting to be part of the big day.
A child bringing the bouquet to their mother.
A picture frame holding the memory of loved ones who are no longer with us.
The gentle kiss of a father on his daughter’s forehead.

These moments are genuine. They’re fleeting. And they deserve to be remembered forever.

5. The Ceremony

We arrive at the ceremony — be it a glowing church or a stunning civil celebration — where everything is ready, the guests are seated, and all eyes await the couple’s “I do.”

It’s one of the most emotional and meaningful moments of the day.
And it’s exactly here where I take a step back, blending into the background as much as possible, so the spotlight remains where it truly belongs:
on you — the couple.

6. After the Ceremony – Couple’s Portrait Session

This is the only moment during the entire wedding day when I’ll be alone with just the two of you.

I usually recommend spending no more than 20 to 30 minutes on the couple’s photos right after the ceremony. I also suggest avoiding long trips to far locations — the wedding day flies by, and it’s important that you enjoy every minute with your guests, especially during the cocktail hour.

Of course, the final decision is always yours.

Very often, the venue itself offers the perfect backdrop for these portraits — relaxed, natural, and close by — right before joining your loved ones for drinks and celebration.

7. The Reception

The couple raises their glasses. It’s time for congratulations, hugs, laughter, and of course… food, drinks, and celebration. This is when joy really starts to take over the day.

There are countless details and spontaneous moments that deserve to be captured:
elegant seating charts, stunning buffets, dreamy décor, thoughtful props...
And then there are the surprises — those emotional moments that turn a single image into something truly priceless.

After the lunch or dinner, we move into another magical part of the day: the first dance.
Some couples prepare choreographed routines they’ve practiced for weeks. Others keep it simple and spontaneous — smiling, dancing, and kissing to that one special song that means everything to them.

Personally, I love photographing this phase of the wedding — nerves have disappeared, joy takes the lead, and the couple can finally breathe and enjoy, knowing everything has gone beautifully.

But the wedding doesn’t end here.

Next comes the party.
Drinks are flowing, the dance floor is alive — and yes, more photos, more laughter, more memories.
I usually stay about an hour into the open bar, as it’s already been a long day carrying gear and capturing every key moment.

But even when I leave the venue, the work isn’t over.

Back in the studio, I begin by backing up every single memory card — three times, to guarantee nothing is ever lost.
In just a few weeks, the newlyweds will relive their day through their full digital gallery — and that’s when the magic comes alive all over again.

8. The Post-Wedding Session

What is a post-wedding session?
As the name suggests, it’s a photo shoot that takes place after the wedding day. It gives us the freedom to create beautiful portraits in locations that would have been impossible to reach on the actual day due to time or distance.

In a post-wedding session, there are no nerves, no schedule, no pressure — just you, your partner, and a relaxed atmosphere where we can focus entirely on crafting images with greater artistic value and emotional depth.

You choose the location.
Whether it’s a mountaintop, a hidden beach, a city you love, or even abroad — this session is yours.

In the end, my wedding photography style is defined by simplicity and spontaneity — by telling a fast-moving, emotional story through images made with and from the heart.

Because life is simply better when it’s filled with beautiful photographs.

9. And Finally... The Album

There are memories that time should never erase.
As wedding photographers, it’s our responsibility to offer you something that lives up to your day — and the wedding album is one of the most treasured keepsakes you’ll ever have.

Everything you lived, everything you felt, will be reflected page by page in a beautifully crafted book.

Here, we show you the albums we believe truly add the final touch to our work — a timeless piece you’ll cherish forever.
